Tenth bootcamp of the BRDE Labs Program addresses Agile Management and Leadership Methods

The tenth Bootcamp of acceleration stage of the BRDE Labs Program was held last Thursday, 22. The online chat was based on Agile Management and Leadership Methods, with the Business and Relationship Manager of the PUCRS Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc) Rafael Prikladnicki. He is also co-founder of GUMA-RS, was the general coordinator of Agile Brazil, and co-founder and board of Agile Alliance Brazil.

For Prikladnicki, it is necessary to seek a balance point when undertaking: “We are all being invited to understand the dynamics of undertaking and finding our balance point”. For him, agility must be understood and treated in the sense of culture, position, and mentality.

Prikladnicki explained that it is necessary to “create experiences that give new meaning to our way of managing, relating, and dealing with technology”. He also recalled that, in the industrial paradigm, people and companies learned to work in anticipation, and many remain doing so. One example is education: “The Universities of the Alliance for Innovation, UFRGS, PUCRS, and Unisinos University have been moving to change this logic in education,” he said.

According to Prikladnicki, the logic of scarcity is becoming the logic of abundance. And in the digital paradigm, there is collaboration, creativity, and exponentiality. “The fact is that we need to adapt to a world that has already changed. And if we do nothing, we will have a feeling of a gap in what we are doing and what is happening ”, stressed the speaker. For him, there is a conflict when digital thinking gains more space. “That’s because not all of us have the same time orientation. We can discuss management and find out that everyone thinks differently. We have evolved a lot, but there is still a long way to go ”, he said.

About 2020, the Tecnopuc’s Business and Relationship Manager explains: “We have brought to the present 5 years of future in this physical isolation. We use technology to facilitate our management and work model. Therefore, it is necessary to value the position of abundance and not of scarcity ”. He still rescues an example such as the truckers’ strike that happened in Brazil in May 2018 and led the country to a lack of supply. “It is a perfect example of scarcity. Everyone went to fill the vehicles without needing to. It is the logic of scarcity. Sometimes it is difficult to understand and act with the logic of abundance ”, he explains.

In organizations, he also talked about the recent update of the Tecnopuc Management Model: “Since 2017, we have moved from the centralized management model to the distributed management model. And this year we have further reduced the hierarchical levels. At the Park, we have a model based on autonomy and empowerment, which exist with alignment and responsibility ”. The speaker also mentions a crucial tripod: new technologies, new mentality, and new organizations. For him, it is necessary to transform, innovate, and act. “Rediscovering our balance in this changing world”, adds Prikladnicki.

Representatives of BRDE, VENTIUR, the three universities from the Alliance for Innovation – UFRGS, PUCRS and Unisinos University, and entrepreneurs from the 12 startups selected for the acceleration stage of the BRDE Labs Program participated in the event: 2Metric, Besouro Agency, BioIn, DigiFarmz, Elysios, Essent Agro, Faba, Insumo Fácil, Palma Sistemas, Polvo Spot, Optim and Talos.
